Upon first impression, I'm a fan of Patch 2.3. The daily battleground quest is fantastic. Yesterday I did 2 AB's and 1 AV and ended up with 1500 honor! What's more is that out of those three games we only won one AB. Today is WSG daily, so make sure to get yours in!
The daily instance quest is also fantastic. I didn't do them, but it looked like there were two available from a couple of guys near the netherdrake vendors in Lower City. One rewarded 2 heroic badges and 25g and the other 12g (from what I recall). Holy 280% speed mount incoming!
Also, the minimap improvements are awesome! Being able to track questgivers and dailies is great! Also you can track auction houses, banks, innkeepers, anything! I feel like a hunter!
So, Nomakk and I are on this 3-a-day plan. It is my theory/experience that we usually start out very well 3-0 or 2-1 in our first 3 games each week. My idea is that we play 3 games a couple times a week instead of all 10 (or more) at once. Last week after we got our 10 in we tested my theory the next day. We went 3-0. This week, we decided to try it again. Well, 2.3 wasn't having it. Apparently something changed about Nomakk's arrows and 2.3 decided to de-equip them from his paper doll. Needless to say, it wasted at least 10 seconds of Nomakk's time to figure out why he couldn't shoot and to re-equip arrows mid-combat. We still almost won but we didn't. Second team we played was rogue/druid. Lost again, due to Nomakk not knowing where his flare ended (video display settings reset and turned back down). OK, so 0-2. I felt like stopping but Nomakk insisted we continue. It was a good idea, because we proceeded to win the next 3 without any technical issues holding us back. We ended up with a net gain of 8 rating so all in all, not too bad.

I'm going to have to really sit back for a few weeks before I can have a good feel for the overall 2.3 rogue changes... I know Druids got a lot of love, so hopefully you notice a trend of goodness. My partner druid was certainly thrilled on Tuesday!
I'm not a fan of the 2.3 changes for rogues. I think I just need to change my playstyle again. I was used to restealthing and shadowstepping all the time but with the increased cooldown I find it actually much harder to use to my advantage. A lot of times because of latency I still can't catch the person. I always try to avoid issues which may be complicated by latency (which is why I'm not a backstab/muti rogue) so we'll see. Maybe a macro such as
/cast Shadowstep
/stopcasting
/cast Shiv
might work if I keep Crippling on my OH (and I do!). However, I think Shadowstep activates the global cooldown so that probably won't work. It might be spammable though. I'll try it out when I get home tonight.
